Our programs emphasize our sincere desire to support families in our community and offer a way for them to afford proven autism therapies, receive immediate funds for emergencies, give joy through the holiday season without stressing about the financial strain it could cause and experience summer camp among other .

Emergency Grant Funding

Emergencies happen. The bills stack up. Autism diagnosis’ don’t happen exactly at the beginning of the year. Insurance coverage is pending…That’s where we come in. If you require immediate financial support, in whatever capacity, you can apply for our Emergency Grant Funding.

Please note you must reside in our service area and have an autism diagnosis or referral to diagnosis to qualify.

Parent Advocate Services

Navigating the world of autism can be overwhelming for any parent. We are here to help understand your rights, especially in the schools. Our highly qualified Parent Advocate is a former special education teacher, principal of a high school for children with social-emotional disorders, instructional supervisor, special education district-wide supervisor, and special needs parent. All services are custom after an initial consultation. Items our parent advocate may help with:

  • Records Review & Action Plan
  • IEP Meeting Attendance (Virtual or In-Person)
  • Classroom Observation and Consultation (Local to Charlotte Area Only)

Please note you must reside in our service area and have an autism diagnosis or referral to diagnosis to qualify.

Landon’s Hope Scholarship

Named for our foundation’s inspiration, Landon, Landon’s Hope Scholarship emphasizes our desire to come around the families in our community and offer a way to financially support therapy services for a child with autism when the family is unable to afford it. The Thoms Family have seen firsthand the impact therapy can have on a child. Through fundraising events, corporate sponsorships and individual donors, Landon’s Hope Scholarship is able to fund therapy hours and make a long-term impact on children with autism. Grants open for application every September for six weeks, awardees are notified in December with the grant applying to the following calendar year.

Accepting Applications September 9 – October 20, 2024.

College Scholarship

In honor of Jacob Rodriguez; Autism Strong now offers a one-time scholarship aimed to empower autistic students in their pursuit of higher education or vocational training, celebrating the diverse talents and perspectives they contribute to our communities and the academic sphere. When Jacob and his parents were preparing for his college journey they found there were not many college scholarships to apply for that celebrate ASD students continuing their education by financially supporting them. Now there is.

Angels 4 Autism

Angels4Autism is a way for us to come alongside local families and help relieve the stress and financial burden of the holidays by providing gifts for the child AND entire family that lives in the home. Families can apply to be considered or can be nominated/submitted by a friend, school or trusted source. We work in collaboration with the family to ensure they receive what they need.

Please apply by November 15, 2024 to be considered.

Camp Royall

Every summer, we welcome the opportunity to send 32 amazing kids to Camp Royall for a week-long, over-night summer camp. Camp Royall is the largest and oldest autism summer camp in the country and is located in Moncure, NC. In partnership with the Autism Society of North Carolina, we proudly support camp through our camperships.

Registration for summer camp opens November 1 and closes January 15. After that, you can sign up for the wait list.
